🌻 Tending the Garden of My Heart – Summer Reflections from Brandie

Hey friend,

It finally feels like summer is here—and I don’t just mean the weather. There's something about these longer days, the smell of fresh-cut grass, and the golden evening sun that makes my heart slow down and soak it all in.

This past season has been a whirlwind, but lately, I’ve been spending a lot more time outside. I finally started a little garden this year, and let me tell you—it has quickly become one of my favorite parts of the day. I grab my coffee, step into the yard barefoot, and just… be. Pulling weeds, watering the soil, watching tiny green shoots stretch toward the sun—it's such a simple act, but it’s taught me so much.

In every little sprout, I see God.
The way He tends to us with the same kind of love and patience.
He waters us with grace, pulls away what doesn’t serve us, and waits—without rushing—for growth.

Some days, I realize He’s pruning me too, just like I snip the dying leaves from my tomato plants. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always necessary. And when the fruit starts to show? Oh, what joy. It’s a quiet reminder that growth often comes in the most unassuming moments.

When I’m not in the garden, I’ve been jumping on my bike, exploring trails and country roads with the wind in my hair and worship music in my ears. Being in nature always brings me closer to the Father. There’s something sacred about silence broken only by birdsong and the hum of tires on gravel. It's in these moments that I hear His voice the clearest.

On the home front, we just wrapped up another school year—and my youngest daughter finished Grade 9! I honestly can’t believe how fast the time has flown. She’s gearing up to enter high school this fall, and while she’s feeling a little nervous (and this mama might be too!), she’s leaning into Jesus with a trust that inspires me deeply.

There’s a quiet strength in her—one that only comes from walking with the Lord. I see it when she prays, when she shows kindness to others, and even in the way she talks about her dreams. Watching her grow in her faith reminds me that He’s not just tending my garden—He’s tending hers too.

This season of slowness has given me space to create again, and I’m so excited to share that a few new designs are coming to the shop this week! They’re inspired by faith, nature, and the beauty of everyday life—pieces that I pray will speak encouragement and truth to your heart.

So keep an eye out—I'll be posting sneak peeks soon!

In the meantime, I hope you’re finding little ways to rest, reflect, and soak in all that God is doing in your life right now. Whether you're on a hike, digging in your own garden, or just sitting on your porch with your Bible and a glass of iced tea—I pray you feel His presence and peace.

Thanks for being here, for supporting my small business, and for being part of this journey with me. You are loved more than you know.

Blessings,
Brandie
